Tim Cavagin, Supervising Re-Recording Mixer

Tim joined Twickenham studios in 1996 and quickly gained a reputation as one of the UK’s leading re-recording mixers. He’s worked with numerous directors including Michael Apted, Stephen Frears, Jim Sheridan and Phyllida Lloyd. He won the Goya Sound Award for director Alejandro Amenábar’s film ‘The Others’, received critical acclaim for the mix on the award winning documentaries ‘Senna’, and  Oscar award winner ‘Amy’ for director Asif Kapadia. This year Tim was nominated for a CAS, BAFTA and Oscar for his work on Edgar Wright’s ‘Baby Driver‘, and he was part of the team who won a CAS award for Black Mirror: USS Callister.

Craig Irving, Supervising Re-Recording Mixer

Craig began his mixing career with BBC TV, working on a wide range of programmes including ‘The Tenant of Wildfell Hall’ and ‘Silent Witness’ and he has won a BAFTA award for sound for the TV movie Loved Up’, directed by Peter Cattaneo.

In more recent years Craig has had the opportunity to collaborate with personal heroes such as Richard Eyre, John Landis and Terry Gilliam, and is looking forward to challenge of fully exploring the possibilities offered by Dolby Atmos and 3D sound.  He has recently mixed episodes of ‘Black Mirror‘ and ‘McMafia.

Adam Méndez, Foley and ADR Recordist

Adam is our specialist recordist for Foley and ADR, and was a member of the Oscar-winning sound team responsible for Foley recording on ‘Gravity’.   He has overseen the major refit of the Twickenham Foley stage and has since created Foley for many projects including ‘Exodus; Gods and Kings’, ‘Woman in Gold’, ‘Poldark’, ‘Macbeth’, ‘The Martian’, and ‘Nice Guys’.

Max Walsh, Sound Mix Technician and Assistant Re-recording Mixer

Max began his career as a runner in 2010 working his way up to Sound Assistant. His interest and ability made him popular with both staff and clients alike and he quickly grew into his current role as Sound Mix Technician and Assistant Re-recording mixer. Credits include.

Will Miller, Sound Mix Technician

Will studied Sound Technology at The Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts before joining the TW1 sound team in 2015. He has recently received mix tech credits for Alien: Covenant, Murder on the Orient Express, All the Money in the World and Baby Driver. His recent mixer credits include Black Mirror and Eric Clapton: A Life in 12 Bars

Sophia Hardman, Foley Mixer

Sophia started as a Sound Assistant but she quickly progressed to working in the Foley department. She assisted on many major films and TV shows and recently graduated to the role of Foley Mixer. Sophia now works and records with Foley Artists to create sounds for numerous projects. Her credits include: ‘Alien: Covenant‘, ‘Jason Bourne‘, ‘Black Mirror‘, ‘McMafia‘ and ‘Victoria & Abdul‘.

Aran Clifford, Sound Mix Technician

After graduating from the Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts with a degree in Sound Technology, Aran gained experience in town before joining Twickenham as a Sound Assistant. His credits include Black MirrorMcMafia, Finding Your Feet and The Hitman’s Bodyguard.

Oliver Ferris, Foley/ADR Assistant

Oli joined the Twickenham team in 2016 as a runner then, after a year of helping in and out of the Foley department, he went full time in 2017 as Foley and ADR Assistant.  He has received Foley Artist credits for Black Mirror and McMafia and has a Foley Assistant credit on All the Money in the World.

Tom Melling, Sound Mix Technician

Tom is the newest recruit to the department and joined us in September 2017 after completing his studies at The Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts. Tom’s first credit at the studio was on ‘All the Money in the World’.
