Sound Post Manager

The Oscar and BAFTA-winning TW1, operated by Time+Space Studios, are a much-loved and world-renowned studios that have been reopened for the last three months with all Covid-19 measures in place, as they lead the industry standard in Film and TV production in a post-Covid world.

Co-owners Piers Read and Jeremy Rainbird acquired Twickenham Studios earlier this year and took over management control marking the beginning of a bold and exciting new era for the studios. Working closely with the TW1 board and senior heads of departments they have been focused on developing the complex in St Margaret’s and investing into new cutting edge technolgies, as they lead the business through the pandemic and in to an exciting future.

As Read and Rainbird look to expand the offering they must sadly bid farewell to Head of Sound Post Vivien Jordan who is retiring after an amazing 10 years with the studios. Viv has been an invaluable part of the multi-awarded sound department – growing talent, overseeing all creative projects with the sound team hosting a succession of productions including Bohemian Rhapsody, BAFTA winning sound mix on Sam Mendez’s 1917, Baby Driver, Netflix’s The Witcher, ITV’s Belgravia, The Hitman’s Bodyguard, Maleficent 2: Mistress Of Evil, Gravity, Slumdog Millionaire, McMafia and Black Mirror to name a few.

Vivien Jordan commented on her departure: ‘’I have loved being part of Twickenham Studios for the last decade, working alongside the most wonderful sound team. I have seen so many good changes over the years including major refurbishment and expansion of the studios, more of which is to come. I’m so proud to have been part of a team who are not only loved by Film and TV clients, cast, and crew alike, but have helped contribute to multiple Oscar and BAFTA winning soundtracks. I am sad to be saying goodbye to TW1 so soon after Piers and Jeremy have arrived as the new owners. I have very much enjoyed working with them and know with their strategy to invest the department’s future is in good hands. I wish them well and cannot wait to support from afar to see what comes next for the studios.“

Managing Partner Piers Read comments: “Viv’s hard work, passion and commitment to delivering success at the studios is evident for all to see. She has been fundamental in building TW1’s reputation for being a truly world-class sound destination. We wish her the best for her well-deserved retirement.. Viv is leaving some very big boots to fill. This clearly creates a vacancy, and we are working to find a suitable replacement as quicky as possible.”
