The Queen’s Gambit star Jacob Fortune-Lloyd (Wolf Hall, Medici) is to play the lead role of Brian Epstein in Midas, a feature film about The Beatles music manager and impresario.

News Of The World and TFS Re-recording Mixer Will Miller nominated for Best Sound Oscar
News Of The World has received four Oscar nominations at this years 93rd Academy Awards including Best Sound featuring our Twickenham Studios Re-recording Mixer Will Miller.
Huge congratulations to the whole News Of The World team for being nominated in Best Cinematography, Best Production Design, Best Original Score and Best Sound.
Our very own TFS Re-recording Mixer Will Miller joins Michael Fentum, Mike Prestwood Smith, John Pritchett and Oliver Tarney nominated in the category of Best Sound for their work on the Western feature.
This incredible news also follows on from their recent Bafta and Cinema Audio Society (CAS) nominations for Best Sound and Best Sound Mixing respectively.
The TFS team were so proud to work on this inspiring tale of survival, discovery and friendship – supporting the amazing Supervising Sound Editor Oliver Tarney and team. Will Miller carried out the FX Mix at Goldcrest Post, Foley was done at Twickenham Film Studios by Adam Mendez, Oli Ferris, Sophia Hardman and Sue Harding.

New Trailer for A Bird Flew In shot on one of our TFS stages
Starring Derek Jacobi (Gladiator), Jeff Fahey (Lost), Julie Dray (Avenue 5), Sophie Kennedy Clark (Nymphomaniac Vol 1), Sadie Frost (Dracula), Morgana Robinson (The Windsors), Camilla Rutherford (Yesterday), Michael Winder (Set The Thames On Fire) and Frances. Barber (The Split).
In seven interlinked narratives, the film charts how when the COVID 19 lockdown is announced, the entire cast and crew of a feature film are sent home. Couples fall apart, others come together and some find they are simply alone.
The feature marks the directorial debut of Kirsty McBell, CEO of UK financier and Production Company Goldfinch.
The wonderful Ben Charles Edwards produces and Sergio Delgado (Bulletproof) is director of photography Philippe Martinez (The Flock) is executive producer and the script comes from Elizabeth Morris (Killers Anonymous) and Dominic Wells. MSR Media are handling sales.

More details of £15m Twickenham expansion released
The new developments include a state-of-the-art TV studio including audience participation, upgraded sound production studios, a second sound mixing suite to host tent-pole productions with Dolby Atmos in both and, central to the transformation, will be the construction of a brand new entrance building creating new public spaces with flexible workspaces, a boutique cinema, a café and rooftop social bar area.

News of the World launches on Netflix with Sound and Foley by Twickenham Studios
News of the World is a 2020 American Western drama film co-written and directed by Paul Greengrass, based on the 2016 novel of the same name by Paulette Jiles, and starring Tom Hanks and Helena Zengel.
The film follows a Civil War veteran who must return a young girl who was taken in by Native Americans as an infant to her last remaining family.
Witness an inspiring story of survival, discovery and friendship. Tom Hanks and Helena Zengal are brought together by fate, driven by survival and bound by a friendship.
